It started with a Christmas CD. My wife at the time and I played the roles of Rose and Freddy Mendelson, a senior couple who offered to wish our friends and family a Merry Christmas—because we were too busy and Rose and Freddy, well, weren't. Freddy quickly became my alter ego, writing jingles, goosing waitresses at Elmer's and lighting up the senior center circuit.
